Green Is Good

I was inspired once again by the Wonder Woman collection. The colors from the Valiant Quad are what I chose to emulate. Greens are some of my favorite eyeshadow colors!

Face: Nars sheer glow foundation cadiz. MAC mineralize skinfinish medium deep. Ben Nye banana visage powder. MAC studio finish concealer nw40. MAC studio sculpt concealer nw35.

Eyes: I applied MAC bamboom paint all over the entire lid with my ring finger. I then applied MUFE 28(matte medium warm brown) in the crease using the 217 brush. Next I applied MAC bare study paint pot on the mobile lid using the 242 brush. I applied MAC juxt eyeshadow over bare study using the 239 brush. I applied MAC femme noir(matte forest green) to the outer "v" using the 217 brush. I applied MAC dalliance mega metal eyeshadow to the brow bone and the tear duct using the 239 brush and 219 brush respectively.

I lined the upper lash line with MAC blacktrack fluidline using the 263 brush. I lined the lower lash line with Sephora flashy liner waterproof in flashy green(love this liner!). I applied MAC femme noir beneath flashy green using the 263 brush. I applied Ardell 131 lashes.

Cheeks: I applied Iman bronzer in bronzed clay to the contour of the cheeks using the 169 brush(d/c). I mixed the smaller sides of both the MAC mighty aphrodite and amazon princess blushes and applied them to my cheeks using the 165 brush(d/c). I applied the larger side of the MAC mighty aphrodite blush as a highlight on my cheekbones using the 165 brush(d/c).

Lips: MAC marquise d' lipstick. MAC boy bait cremesheen glass.

  1. Hiya, I just discovered your blog yesterday and your makeup skills are amazing!!

Just wanted to ask how you make the middle of your face look slightly lighter than the rest of your face. My face is naturally like that but whenever I put foundation on you can't tell.

  3. @coke_queen_b~Thanks so much! The inside part of my face is my actual color. I bronze the outside perimeter of my face so that it warms up my skin and adds dimension. You can use any matte shade that is one to two shades darker than your skin.

@angela.fulton~I have been asked many times. I am considering it, but don't know if I want to take on that venture yet. I only have a point and shoot camera with video capabilities, so I don't know how that would work. Then editing is another beast that I don't know if I am even ready to tackle. I take my time when I do my makeup and I don't know how I would squeeze everything down to ten minutes! I will do some more research on it. Thanks!

  4. I LOVE this look! Great Job Devin. I'm part of a wedding which is in April and I love how your makeup is subtle but yet has a pop of color. Do you think this is wedding appropriate?

  5. Thanks mz.prissy! Yes, you could definitely wear this to a wedding! It's subtle enough, the real pop is the bottom liner. If you don't want the pop you could change the liner to brown or black. :)
