Inglot Rainbow Eye Shadows

When Inglot released their rainbow eye shadows I knew I had to have them. If they were anything like their other pressed shadows they were going to be excellent. This past Christmas I open up a gift from my sister who had just returned from Las Vegas a month or two prior and I see ALL of the rainbow shadows!!! I was so excited I could not believe it. It was the one thing she knew I had not purchased yet. I can be an impulse buyer, and when I want something, especially makeup I don't wait!

When I brought my colors home I carefully arranged them on the bed in the order I wanted to place them in the palette(that's my ocd kicking in). I always label my palette before placing colors inside of it so that I don't have to try and remove the colors and risk breaking them. Well for some reason I thought that I had mislabeled my colors and had to remove them anyway and that's when tragedy struck! Several of my eye shadows chipped, cracked, and broke! :(

I learned later from the fabulous Enkoremakeup that a heavy duty magnet will resolve the issues of removing the Inglot shadows from the palette. I promptly drove over to Home Depot and purchased one and now my removal woes are solved...hallelujah! The first picture will be one that I took when only a couple of shadows had been chipped. The next picture is when I tried to remove the shadows and several of them chipped and cracked. Oh well, they still work the same. :-/

Inglot Body Pigments Pearl

If you love shimmer, sheen, and multi-dimensional glitter then these pigments will be right up your alley! The Inglot body pigments pearl are chocked full of metallic shine! These pigments are absolutely divine and a little bit goes a long way, so you don't need much. I always wear my colors with a base for intensity and when you add a base to these colors that's exactly what you get! You can also mix the pigments together for your own custom color. The pigments are extremely finely milled and feel like silk. Each pigment is 1g/.04 oz and they cost $14. You can purchase the pearl body pigments here.

Inglot Body Pigments Matte

Here are some of the pigments I bought from Inglot at the Makeup Show. Inglot released 40 new body pigments, 20 shimmer and 20 matte. I bought all 40 and these are matte pigments from the collection. The intensity of these pigments is insane! The colors are absolutely gorgeous! If anyone knows me they know that I love matte eyeshadows, and these are no exception! Inglot hit the ball out of the park with these pigments! I swatched these colors on bare skin with no base. I have worn a few of these colors on my eye and did have a reaction to one of the colors(124). My eyes were sore and had a lot of mucus, so be warned! I can't be mad, because they do say "body pigments" and I tried them on the eye anyway. I haven't had a chance to try any others yet..lol! If you do try them on the eye, proceed with caution and know that you may have an allergic reaction. You can purchase the matte body pigments for $14 here.

Makeup Show NYC 2012 haul

Hey everyone!! I know, I know! It's been ages since I posted! I'm back with my NYC Makeup Show haul. I know it's a day late and a dollar short, but better late than never right?! As usual I went with my girls. We have been going to this show since 2008. I have watched this show get bigger and bigger each year. This year was no exception. I did take two classes as well. I took a contouring and highlighting class with Danessa Myricks, and a hair class with Johnny Lavoy. There were so many brands and products that I didn't know where to look first. I did some serious damage and enjoyed every minute of it! There is nothing like makeup therapy!!! I will slowly but surely be posting swatches of these products. So without further ado here is my haul:

Inglot Matte Eyeshadow Swatches

Here are the swatches I promised from Inglot's new matte eyeshadows. They are on par with Inglot's usual quality and some are even better. The colors blend beautifully and are packed with color. Some can be a bit dusty, but once applied to the eye the colors have great staying power.

The Makeup Show Chicago Haul

So now that you've heard all about the show, here are all the goodies I purchased. Yes I went a little crazy, but I worked really hard to make sure I could get all the things I wanted. I will post swatches a little at a time, because it's going to take a while..lol!

Inglot 20 Palette with Swatches

My friend was generous enough to bring some items back for me from IMATS. I  am trying to get all the Inglot eyeshadows I can before the price increase! I wanted the new 20 palette as well. I really like it. I don't think it would be a palette I would travel with, but nice for holding a lot of colors in one place. It keeps you from having to look through several palettes for one look. Inglot Cosmetics Online

Inglot has just gone viral! I don't see a Pro program just yet, so I may still have to call in my order. It also looks like the palettes may be a bit more expensive. When you order the colors along with the palettes online they do discount the palette automatically. I do like that you can purchase the palettes or colors individually. When you order from the store you had to order the palette's with the eye shadows. I'm sure they may have some more tweaking to do. Here's the link:

My New Makeup Storage

I am super excited about this new storage system I bought for my makeup! For years I have been storing my makeup wherever I could fit it. That meant a train case in the bathroom closet, along with some plastic shoe boxes. My armoire had also been transformed into a makeup storage. So, because I do my makeup in my bathroom I would have to go to a couple of different places to get makeup to pull together one look. With the makeup being in all those different places I would sometimes forget what I had and some makeup never got used.

Viva Glam Gaga 2

Here's a look I did on Tuesday. I wanted to try the Viva Glam Gaga 2 and I have to say I like it. It looked a bit light at first, but with a bit of brown liner, it turned out just fine.

Grey Skies

This is a quick EOTD. I did this look last week. I don't use grey eyeshadow often and wanted to try a different combination of colors.

Roses Are Red

Ok, so continuing on with the Valentine's Day looks. This one is a little more daring with red. The focus is on the eyes. So for those of you who don't mind bold eyes, here you go!(Disclaimer: Some people are allergic to the dyes or ingredients that are used to make red pigments and may have a reaction. Inglot Pigment Review with Swatches

So I have been trying for the last two days to take pictures of these pigments to no avail. It has been dreary and cloudy for several days. Finally, the sun came out long enough today for me to take the pictures. I'm still not completely satisfied with the quality, but I'm sure that is user error. Got to practice my photography skills a little more diligently...lol! Anyway here is my review on the Inglot pigments:
