Think Pink

With Valentine's Day upon us I thought I might give you all some ideas of looks you could wear. This one is a bit smokey, but not so much so that you couldn't wear it day or night. If you don't like the dark liner you could wear a softer color like a mauve or brown, or omit the darkest color altogether. On a side note, this cold weather is killing my allergies. I'm used to the heat, but not the cold! My eyes were watering so bad, I could barely keep my eyeshadow on my lids!

Face: MUFE matte velvet+ 70. MAC mineralize skinfinish medium deep. MAC studio finish nw40. MAC studio sculpt nw35. MAC select sheer loose powder nc40.

Eyes: I applied bamboom paint to the entire lid with my finger. I then applied MUFE 67(matte dark rose) to the crease using the 217 brush. I applied MUFE 58(vibrant matte raspberry) below 67(matte dark rose) using the 217 brush. I applied MAC girl friendly paint pot to the mobile lid using the 242 brush. I applied MUFE 88(matte light pink) over girl friendly paint pot using the 239 brush. I applied MAC smoke signal pigment on the outer "v" and up into the crease using the tip of the 213 brush. I blended out the edges of smoke signal pigment with MUFE 58(vibrant matte raspberry) using the 224 brush. I applied MAC top of the posh to the brow bone using the maybelline shadow brush. I also applied top of the posh to the tear duct using the 219 brush.

I lined my upper lash line with MAC dark diversion fluidline using the 266 brush. I applied a thin line of blacktrack fluidline below dark diversion using the 266 brush to blend in the false lash band. I lined the lower lash line with MAC photogravure technakohl. I then applied MUFE 58(vibrant matte raspberry) eyeshadow and MAC smoke signal on the lower lash line using the 266 brush. I applied Ardell 131 lashes.

Cheeks: I contoured my cheeks with MUFE sculpting kit 4 and 131 eyeshadow using the 169 brush(d/c). I applied MAC tickle me pink cream color base on the cheeks using the 131 brush(d/c). I then applied MUFE 67(matte dark rose) eyeshadow on top of tickle me pink as a blush using the 131 brush(d/c). I applied MAC drizzlegold loose beauty powder to the cheekbones using the 131 brush(d/c).

Lips: MAC plum lip pencil. MAC enchantee kissable lipcolor.

  5. I love this look! I am all about Valentine inspired makeup. I have a request...when you are telling us which MUFE color you are using can you describe the color? It just would help me dupe the color better if I don't own that particular one. Thanks!

  8. Hi Devin,
I am sooo glad I found your page. I was looking up some info on Ben Nye Banana Powder, went to images and there you were. I have not found one look that I do not love. I have been wearing the same looks for a while, now you have given me some wonderful options. I am going to Sephora today to find these shadows. I usually use a lot of Mac and Nars. I have been wanting to try Makeup Forever, now you have given me a good reason. I am so excited! Thanks for sharing your work with us.
